National Scrollathon will culminate in a multidimensional campus-wide exhibition at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington D.C. in the summer of 2026 to celebrate the 250th anniversary of America.

Individual, Foundation, and Corporate Donations
Support on any level is greatly appreciated and will contribute to making National Scrollathon possible.

Participate as an Individual
National Word Ask makes it possible for everyone to contribute to National Scrollathon. Simply share a word that expresses your hopes and dreams for the future of America and your word will become part of a text based artwork at the Kennedy Center exhibition.

Participate as a Museum or other Institution
Represent your state in the National Scrollathon project celebrating the American Semiquincentennial in summer 2026 at the Kennedy Center to an audience of over 2 million visitors.

Participate as a class or small group

The National Button Project offers a way to bring National Scrollathon tangibly to smaller museums, schools, and rural areas across the country to a much broader audience. The project is structured as a classroom lesson plan and is delivered as a kit to the instructor/teacher/group leader who will administer the simple project.
