Over the course of a week, the Ladds directly interacted with the students, guiding them in creating various components of the artwork. Beyond the artistic process, they also engaged in conversations about the challenges and rewards of pursuing a career in the arts. The students were invited to see the artwork at a celebratory event.

In 2018, Steven and William Ladd were honored to be featured guest at the Maison Basse space in the south of France, a historic venue affiliated with the SCAD. This opportunity offered them a professional development retreat that spanned five days, providing a platform for networking and engaging in dialogues with prominent figures in the industry. A Scrollathon event brought together retreat attendees, artists, and SCAD staff. As they collectively created an artwork, they delved into discussions regarding career development as artists and underscored the significance of collaboration in their creative journeys.
